Banff Springs Wedding / Morag + Stuart

This was the first wedding we shot in 2017, so thought we had to go back and share some freeze-frames from the day. I remember vividly when Morag and her sister came to visit for an enquiry meeting. Things were going well, then I showed them some of my work. It quickly became a tear-fest! Can't say I've seen that sort of reaction in a meeting before. They left looking rather drained and red-eyed. I'm so glad Morag booked us, we were definitely a good fit.

One of the moments that sticks in my mind from the day was the ceremony. There was a nervous excitement as Morag walked with her father down the aisle. And when she reached Stuart the emotions kicked in. Now usually you would think it would be tears, but it was actually laughter. As the ceremony continued so did the laughter. It's a unique type of feeling. One that I've only ever seen at a few weddings. Emotional laughter I guess you could say.

The rest of the day was fantastic. Logan Sangster made the photoshoot a hoot, it never feels like work when he's around. But make no mistake, he's a top notch photographer producing amazing imagery! His personality allows his subjects to relax and smile, bringing out the best reactions for pictures and video.

For the first dance we had the daughter of the bridesmaid serenade the bride + groom with a Bryan Adams cover. She did a fantastic job!

Morag and Stuart are such a well-matched couple. They share a light-hearted approach to life, which spread throughout the whole day.

My best wishes to you both!
