Fyvie Castle Wedding / Jade + Kevin

As I look through Jade + Kevin's footage I'm reminded of why I love capturing weddings. It's all about the people being present in one place, at one time, to witness and celebrate the union of two souls. There really isn't anything else like it.

The day started off hanging out with the ladies during the morning preparations. Jade was relaxed, enjoying being pampered by Emma the make-up artist. The two flower girls were super excited, sharing the mirror to check themselves out - so cute! Then it was on to see the lads getting ready - Kevin did a grand job getting all his groomsmen dressed, as well as his son.

Fyvie Castle was the location for the wedding ceremony. Kevin and his band of merrry men posed for some pictures by photographer Debbie Walker, as the guests started to arrive. One of the highlight moments of the day was Jade + Kevin's wee flower girl daughter walking down the aisle, running to her dad for a bozie - such a lovely moment to witness.

And then proud father of the bride, Peter, completed the processional walking Jade down to meet her groom. All three were full of emotions, as well as many of the bridal party and guests. Who better to conduct the service than Robin Wiseman. He always brings a sense of calm yet excitement, balancing his words to make us laugh and reflect at the same time.

When it comes to the post-ceremony celebrations it's always nice to get outside. In the grounds of the castle Debbie conducted most of the photoshoot, whilst the guests headed onto the Banff Springs. The Springs is one of my fav venues, has been for years! It's just a great place to hang out, have a good feed, and of course, unleash those dancing feet.

The guests were enjoying sitting out front, eating Donuts and downing a drink or two. Jade + Kevin had time to mingle with their guests, sharing laughs and stories.

Wedding band, The Vinyls, totally rocked the dance floor. Their set list was such a nice change from the predictable, old hat stuff we often hear. And their frontman looked + sounded like Paul Weller, how cool! I kinda wanted to stick around, enjoy the music, grab a few beers, and join in. But alas, it was time to head home for a cup of tea and get all the footage backed up.

Wishing you all the very best folks!
