Haddo Chapel Wedding / Jemma + Ryan
Jemma + Ryan hail from the metropolis that is Mintlaw, which is where I'm from too. And they met in the local pub, The Garrett. That was the place to go on a Friday and Saturday night back in the day.
Fast-foward nine years later to the beautiful Haddo Chapel where they decided to tie the knot. After an enjoyable service by Rev. Robert Fowlie we retreated to the front of Haddo House for the photoshoot. And there was time to go inside for some epic pictures too. Logan Sangster was again charming the pants of us all!
Then it was a short drive to the stunning Meldrum House for the reception. Without a doubt one of the best wedding venues we have in the area. Guests mingled in the new extension part of the building, which was specifically designed for weddings and other social functions. There was plenty of smiling faces and laughter as I floated around filming in my usual candid manner.
Speeches came after the meal, with all three speakers doing a grand job. The 'cake cut' took place in the evening, but it was rather hard to see the bride and groom due to the height of the profiterole mountain that they had instead of the traditional cake. Always cool to see something different!
Being that it was a 'Mintlaw' wedding the dance floor was constantly busy, the wedding guests did not disappoint with some funky moves and shapes going on.
I was absolutely knackered by the time I left, although it's hard to switch off once home, still buzzing from all the excitement.
When Jemma first enquired with me about filming her day I was delighted. And the day itself was just fantastic. Ryan is a good lad, and they make a great couple. The honeymoon was a surprise to Jemma - it was Ryan's task to organise that. And from Facebook I see they had a fab time touring the United States!
My best wishes to you both!
